Description
2006 Polaris Outlaw 500 IRS Custom – Fully Rebuilt

Selling my 2006 Polaris Outlaw 500 IRS that’s been completely gone through front to back. The frame and engine cases are original, but the machine has been rebuilt, refreshed, and sorted properly so it looks and rides like a new quad.

This is the Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) Sport Outlaw, not the basic solid‑axle quads you buy new. To get into a truly comparable modern sport machine with this kind of stability, suspension, geometry, and tuned setup, you’re easily in the 12k+ range out the door. You might stumble across a rough Outlaw around 4k, but by the time you straighten the frame, refresh the suspension, replace all the tired wear items, and actually go through it the right way, you’ll be well past what I’m asking and it still probably won’t be as straight, tight, and dialed as this one.

Work done includes:
- Engine opened and fully gone through (fresh internals: lifters, springs, gaskets, and wear components)
- New starter and battery
- All new wheel bearings, hubs, and hardware
- New brake calipers, pads, and master cylinder
- New upgraded clutch, discs, and hardware
- New tie rods, ball joints and front‑end wear components
- All new fluids and filters, and full tune‑up
- New components in the electrical system including but not limited to:
Battery, main ground cables, starter motor, starter solenoid, stator (alternator), regulator/rectifier, CDI/ignition control module, ignition coil, spark plug, sub‑harnesses, key/ignition switch, handlebar kill/start module, circuit breakers, fuses, cooling fan, fan switch and temperature switch, temperature sender, neutral switch, reverse switch, brake light switch, throttle safety switch, headlight bulbs, indicator lamp (neutral, reverse, overheat), accessory power connectors or pigtails.
- New handlebar controls and all cables to entirety. Triple checked/adjusted properly.
New drive chain and sprocket. New carburetor, intake boots, and manifold.

Cosmetics:
- Plastics fully wet‑sanded through multiple stages and restored back to a great finish. But certainly not perfect, the plastics are very clean, glossy, and look near‑new. Minor scratches and cracks
- New Graphics Kit
- Overall, it was very straight and clean before I put the time into replacing everything I could. After the build, a Polaris dealership did a full inspection and confirmed everything was in proper spec, as well as rebuilding all 4 Fox Shox Podium suspension units. It starts right away, idles very clean, and runs great. The steering is tight, brakes are strong, and there are no weird noises, leaks, or issues to be had. It’s truly turn‑key—fuel, start, and ready to ride ATV.

** Price: $7,800 **
Given the amount of new and rebuilt parts and how hard it is to find a straight Outlaw IRS in this condition, $7,800 is a very fair price.

If you’re serious, call or text me and I can walk you through everything that’s been done (receipts as well) and show you the quad in person.
