Extensive Project car build. **needs final steps to complete** (at 95%) Well it's almost easier to say what's not been changed. Starting underneath, The Front and rear suspension is only partially upgraded, which basically means only the most important arms have been upgraded based on recommendations from SPL, and my budget (which I completely blew on the engine!) currently it's riding on coilovers, new front uca bushings, and anti-roll bars. Front Brembos and rear slide calipers are stock with upgraded hardware. The transmission and drive line components (axles), most of the interior pieces, along with the rear half of the exterior, and the exhaust, are all that is left stock. All the engine plastics have all been removed, minus the coolant expansion tank, and various clips and brackets. Wheels, Braking, Axles, LSD and the transmission are the next logical upgrade points to give attention to, The Engine was swapped from an 18' X4 M40i. Which is the same TOP TIER version N55 (B30T0) from the M2, with Iron cylinder liners not alusil like the stock engine, also it has the S55 forged crankshaft and pistons, without the S55 rwd sump and dual injection oil pump. All typical maintenance items were replaced or upgraded. (Except the battery) More boring stuff: -transmission pan, filter, fluid service -New timing chain and new guides -New seals, mains and gaskets -New water pump -New idler, tensioner, and belt -New oil and water sensors -New guibo/flex disc (upgraded) -Revshift upgraded engine and trans mounts -AGA billet e-brake clip -JXB axle carrier support bearing -BMS diff. support. -New front hubs/ bearings -rebuilt front Brembo calipers (thermal Cerakoted gold) -Ngk plugs -New starter -New alternator -New coolant reservoir -New headlights and entire front end Engine short block modifications: Completely rebuilt engine, after sourcing. Cylinders have been machined 0.5mm over- -(fully WPC treated) custom Traum 2618 forged pistons -Thermal (Cerakoted domes and ring lands) -Total-Seal Gapless/ported piston rings. -Manley Tri-beam forged rods with King Si bearings and ARP bolts -Closed deck- CSS-CNC werks 6061-T6 block liner -11mm ARP2000 head studs, -VAC-Cometic MLX OE-spec Head gasket -Forged S55 crank with WPC treated journals -King 3 layer GPC main bearings. -ReBalanced reciprocating Assembly -S55 oil pan/sump with baffled main pickup only. (No secondary suction jet pump...yet!) -WPC treated oil pump pulley and vacuum pump pulley, -"IP Performance" billet pinned crank hub -S55 ATi Super damper/crank balancer -All engine bolts and hardware were replaced with new OEM, or titanium and stainless "Pro bolt" versions. Cylinder head hardware, and machining: -Headgames S55/4 valve work and Pocket ported intake and exhaust ports; fitted with GSC power bronze guides, -Supertech titanium retainers and S55 single valvesprings. -WPC treated Intake cam and exhaust Bearing ledges. -Polished and Cerakoted valvetronic eccentric shaft caps and camshaft caps -Mitzone Aluminum valve cover (Bronze painted) -PCV bypassed and plugged intake port reliefs with iAG catch can The Entire final block assembly is capable of supporting over 1100hp. (900hp guaranteed reliable by CSS). The head was ported and modded to support between 800 and 900 with a responsive low end. Currently the low pressure fuel system was upgraded to support +/- 675hp on a typical tune. A stage 3 LPFP is required to push well above that range. Engine supporting / accessory upgrades: Cooling system: -HPS and VTT Silicone hoses upgraded from the heater core, to the heat exchanger core and thermostat inlets -CSF radiator heat exchanger -Mosselman oil thermostat -Rev9 oil cooler with braided -aN fittings. -iAG Air oil separator with vacuum pulling on the crankcase (braided -aN fittings) (catch can) -Ambient Thermal Management performance dual core, bar & plate intercooler -Turner cold side charge pipe kit (modified to support Turbosmart DV bov) -hot side Speedtech Charge pipe (turbo outlet) -Turbosmart dual port diverter valve -Evolution of Speed aluminum intake manifold -Garrett G30-900 ball-bearing twin scroll turbo, with stainless 1.06 housing. V-band 4" downpipe outlet. Stainless oil and water lines. (Thermal wrapped housing) -Modified Turbosmart 45mm hypergate (using the DME controlled electronic WG actuator) Speedtech open WG dump -Speedtech divided turbo manifold (Cerakoted) with funk titanium thermal wrap, and 4" downpipe. -Speedtech silicone turbo inlet, with AFE Track Series Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake -Dinan B58 ignition coils with Nexsys adapters ngk plugs -S63 Eu5 injectors -XDi60 hpfp -custom ptfe braided fuel lines -Precision Raceworks stage 2.5 LPFP -Mhd Ethanol content sensor -ET3 Designs stage 2 EKP upgrade -Revshift track engine mounts -Revshift Street transmission mounts Suspension kinematics and chassis mods: -ECS 1-way coilovers with adjustable mounts -Eibach swaybars front and rear with urethane mounts -SPL front and rear swaybar end links -SPL rear traction arms -Powerflex Front upper arm bushing -Front Brembo calipers thermal Cerakoted -Turner stainless brake lines front and rear -ECS 2-piece 340mm drilled and slotted rotors -Akebono ceramic front pads -Powerstop z26 330mm rotors w/ carbon ceramic pads -Motul dot 5.1 brake fluid -MrG titanium extended wheel studs / lugs Interior modifications: -Custom ASA non-M steering wheel -retrofit Carbon paddle shifters (temporary) -F80 console trim with knee rest -F30 M-sport shifter with carbon trim -carbon vinyl wrapped dash trim, door trim, switch gear -Kies inner door handle pulls -billet hood release -Alcantara console arm rest -custom diamond stitch floor mats -charcoal alcantara headliner Exterior/Aero modifications: -Complete F80 ECS TUNING front end conversion -F80 vented fenders with custom vent blade -GTS vented Aluminum. Hood -F80 carbon mirror caps and grill inserts -color corrected Glacier silver paint -Adams polishes Graphene protective coating (needs reapplication on front end) What's unfinished is: -final engine tuning, -replace the lower coolant hose, -final-wastegate setup. -needs a new battery. The New engine was tested and driven just 2 miles after initial installation, details not yet finalized. Engine is NOT BROKEN IN, Still needs rings to properly seat.
